Speaking at a 'business trend' workshop organised by the agriculture extension department for growers in Naurang Town of Lakki Marwat on Sunday, they said modern farming technologies, including tunnel and net farming, could prove helpful for farmers to grow off-season vegetables to meet local food requirements and export the commodities to neighbouring districts.

Additional assistant commissioner Gohar Ali Khan inaugurated the event, where the agriculture department with the support of model farm services centre had also set up stalls of locally-produced vegetables.

On the occasion, district director agriculture Abdul Qayyum Khan and other experts said land
