Govt will soon launch program for economic empowerment of women: Dr Firdous.

ISLAMABAD -- Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the government will soon launch a program for the economic empowerment of the women under the umbrella of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal. Addressing a news conference here on Thursday along with Chairman Baitul-Mal Aon Abbas, she said this program will help the women stand on their own feet and immensely contribute to the country's economy. She said our women which constitute fifty percent of the total population are have the abilities and capabilities and we will provide them the opportunities to excel in different fields. the Chairman Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal said under this initiative women empowerment centers will be established across the country especially in the far flung and neglected areas including tribal districts, Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan.
