Govt utilising all resources to tackle virus: minister.

TAXILA -- The government has utilised all available resources to tackle the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak in the country, said Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Sunday.

He was talking to media persons at an emergency cash disbursement centre under the Ehsaas Kafalat Programme on Sunday.

MNA Mansoor Hayat Khan, MPA Ammar Sadiq Khan and officials of the local administration and Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) were also present.

Mr Khan said the government had introduced a relief package under which Rs12,000 were being distributed to 13 million people. An amount of Rs144 billion has been allocated for this purpose. He said daily-wage workers who had been most affected by the Covid-19 lockdown would benefit the most from the programme.
