Govt taking strict measures to remove harmful anti polio contents on Social media: Dr Zafar.

ISLAMABAD -- The Special Assistant to the Prime Minster on National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza Sunday said the government was taking strict measures to regulate vaccine-related harmful content available on social media to address the misconceptions surrounding the polio campaigns. Talking to a private news channel , he said the government has prepared a coordinated and comprehensive plan to make Pakistan polio free till next year.

'Rumours and propaganda spread over social media platforms have been fuelling misconceptions about the vaccine and have accelerated refusals to vaccines he said, adding, but despite the rising numbers of polio cases, Pakistan will soon be polio-free.
