Govt taking concrete steps for promotion of sports: Jamali.

QUETTA -- Muhammad Ishaque Jamali, Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, has said that the incumbent provincial government was taking concrete steps for promotion of sports in order to divert the attention of youngsters of the province towards positive activities.

These views were expressed by him while addressing a function held in connection with 'Mix Martial Arts Championship, 2023' held at CGS Hall, Satellite Town, Quetta under First Balochistan Games, 2023.

He said that in past players of martial arts brought laurels to the country and province in international and national events, adding that sporting facilities were being provided to the players of the province in compliance with the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Culture, Abdul Khaliq Hazara and Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uquali, adding that competitions of 40 different disciplines of sports had been included in First Balochistan Games, 2023.
