LAHORE -- Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has on Thursday said the government is standing with doctors who were tortured yesterday by lawyers and vowed to provide protection to them and patients. The minister presided over a meeting at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore which was attended by Punjab Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Additional Secretary Development Dr. Asif Tufail, PIC Chief Prof Dr. Saqib Shafi, PIC MS Dr. Muhammad Ameer and other faculty members.
