Govt's wrong polices have brought people onto roads, says PPP.

LAKKI MARWAT/KOHAT -- Pakistan Peoples Party, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter president Humayun Khan has said that wrong policies of the government have brought doctors, teachers and people from other spheres of life onto the roads.

Speaking at a workers convention in Naurang town of Lakki Marwat on Monday, he said the incapability of rulers could be judged from the fact that doctors and teachers were on strike and daily wagers were deeply concerned over inflation.

Other speakers included PPP divisional president Sher Azam Wazir, Senator Robina Khalid and MPA Nighat Orakzai. Workers from Lakki Marwat, Bannu and North Waziristan districts and tribal subdivisions participated.

Mr Humayun said it was the prime responsibility of politicians to lead the people who were ready to come onto the roads for agitation against the government.

'In a span of over a year the incompetency of PTI government has been exposed as its so-called reform-based policies are leading the country to disaster,' he maintained.

He said the rulers had promised provision of 10 million jobs but now they were bent upon closing around 400 public sector organisations which would lay off tens of thousands of people.
