Govt, opposition agree to constitute a parliamentary committee on electoral reforms.

ISLAMABAD -- The government and the opposition have agreed to constitute a parliamentary committee on electoral reforms.

An understanding to this effect was reached at meeting of the representatives of both the treasury and the opposition benches, which met in Islamabad on Tuesday with Speaker National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser in the chair.

The committee will comprise members of the Senate and National Assembly. Separate motions will be tabled in both the Houses for the constitution of the parliamentary committee and the Speaker will form the committee after consultation...
