Govt launches three initiatives today to mitigate suffering of virus-hit people.

ISLAMABAD -- The government is launching three initiatives on Monday (today) to mitigate the suffering of people affected by the coronavirus and its adverse impact on economy.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to preside over a meeting on Monday to facilitate and empower welfare organisations to play a more coordinated role with the government in responding to the pandemic.According to the Prime Minister Office, the first assistance will be extended under the Ehsaas Rashan (ration) Portal and MoUs will be signed with four organisations.

Secondly, a beta version of the Ehsaas Langar and Panahgah App will be launched to map locations of welfare organisations for better coordination ofreliefefforts.
