Govt launches Rs208 b relief programme to mitigate sufferings of poor: Murad.

ISLAMABAD -- Minister for Communications Murad Saeed Monday said the government had launched Ehsaas Cash Transfer Programme of Rs208 billion to distribute money among the poor people of the country.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he said seven million Insaf Sehat Cards were distributed among the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and other areas of the country.

The relief package of Rs1,200 billion was distributed among the vulnerable sections of the society in a bid to cope with the coronavirus pandemic's financial impacts on them, he added.

He quoted Prime Minister Imran Khan as saying that Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz were two sides of the same coin and involved in a fix fight.
