Govt ignoring development of tribal districts: JI.

KHAR -- Jamaat-i-Islami provincial chief Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan on Tuesday criticised the government for ignoring development of merged districts and announced to launch anti-government protest movement if visible development was not witnessed in the coming days.

He expressed these views while talking to mediapersons after attending a meeting of party's local chapter leaders here.

He pointed out that the merger of erstwhile Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was done following the passage of 25th constitutional amendment bill in May 2018. He stated that the bill was not passed by parliament unconditionally, saying the move had some terms and conditions specified by both the then government and the opposition parties.

Party's provincial chief threatens anti-govt protest

The JI provincial chief said that it was clearly mentioned in the 25th amendment bill that the federal government would provide mega development package for the tribal districts to improve the lives of the people.
