Govt flayed over long delay in BRT project.

CHARSADDA -- Senate deputy chairman Saleem Mandviwala and other PPP leaders on Saturday criticised the ruling PTI for what they called miserably failing to mitigate the people's problems.

They also resented a long delay in the completion of the much-publicised Peshawar Bus Rapid Transport project.

The PPP leaders were addressing a public meeting held in Tangi area to mark the death anniversary of lawyer Shaheed Bashir Ahmad, who was killed in the 2007 Karachi Karsaz bombing.

Among them were Sassui Palijo, Taj Haider, Bahramand Khan, Manzoor Bashir, Umra Khan and Jehanzeb Khattak.

Mr Mandviwala said the PPP government had granted the province an identity by naming it Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, provincial autonomy and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

He said the PTI government had launched only one mega project i.e. the BRT claiming it would be completed in six months, but it had been awaiting completion for last several years.
