Govt flayed over failure to tackle locust attack.

KARAK -- Farmers here have criticised the provincial government for its failure to devise a strategy in four months to tackle the locust attack.

Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, the local farmers, including its district president Iqbal Khattak, claimed that over last few weeks locusts had damaged standing crops, fruit orchards and forests in the district.

The farmers said that the locust-affected areas included Kandokhel, Lawagher Chanikhel, Zarakhel, Ghundi Mir Khan, Deli Mela, Nari Eidalkhel and parts of Takht-i-Nusrati.
