Govt committed to tribal districts' uplift: minister.

KHAR -- Provincial Minister for Housing Amjad Ali Khan said on Thursday that the government was making all-out efforts for the development of tribal districts and the people would soon see visible improvement in their lives.

He was addressing a jirga here during his visit to the district. He said that development of merged districts was top priority of the provincial government.

He said that under the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan the government was giving special attention to the development of tribal districts. He said that both the federal and provincial governments had allocated huge funds for the development of tribal districts in the current fiscal year. He said that about half of the said funds had already been released.

The provincial minister said that the prime minister and chief minister were aware of the main problems of the tribal people. He added that the government would turn the tribal districts into a developed and prosperous region of the province.
