Govt asked to reopen schools immediately.

SWAT -- President All Swat Private School Management Association (PSMA) Ahmad Shah here on Thursday demanded of the government to reopen the schools immediately.

Talking to local journalists, he rejected the government's school opening plan and termed it anti-education. He said that parents and administration of private schools were expecting early reopening of educational institutes but they were shocked when Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood announced that the institutions across the country would be reopened on September 15.

'Thousands of teachers and other staff members working in the private schools have become unemployed. They are facing acute financial problems but the government does not bother to think about them,' he said.

Mr Shah said that PSMA would never accept the government decision regarding opening of the schools. 'We will never ever accept the unjust and anti-education decision of the government to give further extension in the vacations owing to Covid-19. It means a financial murder of thousands of teachers and other staff members,' he said.

He added that government showed incompetency in every sector and PSMA condemned the recent decision.
