Governors of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP & GB likely to resign after success of no-confidence motion against Imran Khan as PM.

ISLAMABAD -- Following the dismissal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan from the office of the prime minister through no-confidence motion on Saturday night, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman, Punjab Governor Omar Sarfaraz Cheema, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Governor Balochistan Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha and Governor Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon are likely to tender their resignations after the election of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as prime minister of Pakistan today (Monday).

According to media reports, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail is currently attending a meeting of the PTI in Islamabad and he is expected to hand down his resignation upon his return to Karachi. However, his family is still present in Governor House in Karachi.

On the other hand, Shah Farman said that he will step down from the governor's post in case PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif gets elected as the prime minister of Pakistan. "I cannot give Shahbaz the protocol of a prime minister," Farman said.
