Government Introduces New Tax on High-Speed Diesel.

ISLAMABAD -- The recent imposition of a new tax on high-speed diesel (HSD) has led to the reversal of price relief for petrol and diesel, according to sources.

The caretaker government, in addition to oil marketing companies' (OMCs) and dealers' margins, has introduced a new tax of Rs0.24 per litre on high-speed diesel, negating the initial price relief for the public.
