Gorakh Hills' closure disappoints hundreds.

DADU -- Several hundred local tourists were turned away by officials of the Gorakh Hills Development Authority (GHDA) when they drove up to the tourist site to spend their Eid holidays.

Most of the tourists complained that they had spent thousands of rupees in travelling to the site from far-off areas of the province but were extremely disappointed upon finding it abruptly closed.

One family said they spent Rs20,000 on travel expenses while many others said they also paid Rs200 for each 1.5-litre bottle of water as water supply to the hill site was suspended for many days.
