Golra SHO suspended.

ISLAMABAD -- The Golra police SHO was suspended while Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Saddar Circle was asked for an explanation about fireworks in their area.

A police spokesman said on Tuesday that there is a ban on sale, purchase and stock of firecrackers and fireworks in Islamabad because it is not only dangerous to public life but to their property as well.

The ban was violated at Golra and as a result Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police (Operations) Waqaruddin Syed took notice of it and suspended the SHO, he added.

The DIG also asked for an explanation from SDPO Saddar Circle, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Khalid Awan, he added.

According to the spokesman, the fireworks at Golra created panic in the area and terrorised people.
