NAROWAL -- The governor on Monday visited the Kartarpur Corridor site and reviewed various arrangements and facilities.

Along with Punjab Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah Bukhari, Governor Chaudhry Sarwar visited Kartarpur Corridor project, the Zero Line between India and Pakistan and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.

He also installed a gold palanquin (palki) at the gurdwara whereas the officials concerned, including Project Director retired Brig Atif Majeed and Deputy Commissioner Dr Waheed Asghar, briefed the governor about various arrangements. Sarwar also inspected the shuttle bus service besides other facilities for the visiting Sikh pilgrims.

Later, talking to the media, he said that despite India's lame excuses and propaganda, Pakistan had completed Kartarpur Corridor project within the stipulated time, adding that today, the Sikh community from across the world paid tribute to the government of Pakistan for completing this project.

He maintained that Gurdwara Darbar Sahib was a gift from Pakistan to the Sikh community around the world, adding that 5,000 Sikh yatrees from India could visit daily after inauguration of the corridor by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Nov 9.
