Germany stocks lower at end of trade; DAX down 0.62pc.

Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Food and Beverages, Technology and Transportation and Logistics sectors led shares lower. At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.62 percent, while the MDAX index fell 0.66 percent, and the TecDAX index lost 0.83 percent. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 445 to 231 and 71 ended unchanged. The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 8.85 percent to 17.10.
