GCU names centre after music maestro.

LAHORE -- The Government College University (GCU) has established the Tariq Salman Khan Farani Center for Music.

GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi and renowned classical singer Ustad Hamid Ali Khan inaugurated the centre named after the music maestro, the late Prof. Tariq Suleman Khan Farani, for his 50 years long illustrious contributions for the promotion of music at the campus. Musician-singer Jawad Ahamd and family members of Prof Farani were also present.

GCU Nazir Ahmad Ahmad Music Society (NAMS) also organised a ceremony to pay tribute to Prof Farani for his invaluable services for the art and music. A portrait of the late music teacher was also erected at the University's Bukhari Auditorium.
