Gang of robbers loot former military officer's house.

Rawalpindi -- A gang of armed dacoits looted the house of a former military officer by making the family hostage at gunpoint, informed sources on Sunday.

The incident happened at the house of former Corps Commander Peshawar and former KP Governor Lt Gen Ali Jan Orakzai's house at heavily guarded Sector C of DHA Phase 1 within the limits of Police Station Morgah, they added.

Police have filed an FIR on the complaint of the house owner General (Retd) Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai against the robbers under section 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code. However, no arrest or recovery was made by the investigators so far, sources said.

According to sources, General (Retd) Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai lodged a complaint with Police Station Morgah stating he was present in the house along with his wife and a servant on 27th February 2021. He added an armed robber stormed into his room at 5:15 pm located on first floor following which another robber also came inside.

'Both robbers aged between 25-30 years with wheatish complexion and 5/7 height escorted me down the stairs and then they locked me up along my wife and servant in a room,' the complainant told police. He mentioned a robber kept standing near them...
