Free and fair election should be held in country according to aspirations of masses: Saad Rafique.

SIALKOT -- Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and former railways minister Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique on Sunday said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) does not want to send government packing to form its own government instead it aims to restore democracy in the country and establish supremacy of law, constitution and democracy, which has been made hostage in the country from last 70 years in one or the other form. He said that the country should be moved forward according to the unanimous 1973 constitution and national consensus should be evolved.

Talking to media persons at the residence of Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Sialkot along with PML-N MNA Chaudhry Armaghan Subhani, MPA Khawaja Mansaullah Butt, Ataullah Tarar Advocate and other PML-N leaders, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that free and fair election should be held in the country according to the aspirations of the masses so that the representative government of the masses is installed in the country so that Pakistan could be put on the tract of law and constitution again. Saad Rafique said that we demand that the process of putting pressure on the courts should be stopped, adding that we also demand closing the passage of taking political revenge.

The former railways minister said that this is first government which is trying to spread unrest in the country. He vowed to continue their struggle through platform of PDM.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said that a dictatorship has been imposed in the country under the guise of democracy. PTI damaged image of Pakistan internationally with incidents like seizure of PIA plane by Malaysian authorities and fake pilot license issue, he added.

He also asked government to stop political revenge in the name of accountability and warned that if government did not end the practice, PTI will also get taste of its own medicine.

He strongly reacted to arrest of Khawaja Muhammad Asif and said that there is no connection between accountability and these arrests and claimed that soon the PML-N will be vindicated. He said that these arrests are the worst example of the...
