Fourth Thal Jeep Rally from 15th.

MUZAFFARGARH -- The fourth Thal Jeep Rally will be held in Muzaffargarh from November 15 to 17 where national and international drivers will participate.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ali Shehzad told reporters on Friday it was a great honor for the district to be host to such an international competition. He said that 180km rally route, all winding down the treacherous desert, would test the skills of the drivers. The route has been made by the district government and the Punjab Tourism Development Corporation.

District Police Officer Sadiq Ali Dogar said that strict security arrangements would be made for participants and visitors. The DC added the rally would start from Head Muhammadwala and participants would drive towards north touching the boundary of district Layyah and would finish at Head Muhammadwala.

Rally focal person Ataul Haq (additional deputy commissioner) also said that 14 check-posts have been planned to be manned by police personnel and Rescue 1122 officials.
