Four shot dead by rivals.

KASUR -- Four people were killed in firing allegedly by rivals here on Wednesday near Khara village in Saddar police precincts.

According to police, Mustafabad UC Vice Chairman Munir Ahmed Bhatti along with Shaukat Ali and Habib Ahmed was on his way to Khara by his car. Near Khara, unidentified men [rivals] who were riding a car and a motorcycle, intercepted them and sprayed their car with bullets, leaving Bhatti, Ali and Ahmed dead on the spot while driver Jaffar was critically injured and rushed to the DHQ Hospital. Jaffar was later referred to the Lahore General Hospital owing to his critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries in the evening.

The relatives refused post-mortem examination of the bodies and a case against the suspects as they wanted to settle the dispute out of court. They [at DHQ Hospital] also demanded the bodies back from police.
