Four policemen from Sindh honoured.

SUKKUR -- President Dr Arif Alvi presented gallantry awards on the occasion of March 23 on Thursday to four officers of Sindh police in recognition of their services for restoring writ of the government in the criminal-infested areas such as Kandhkot-Kashmore and Ghotki.

DIG Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh, SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi, former SSP Amjad Sheikh and SSP Tunveer Hussain Tunio received the honour at a programme held in the Presidential House Islamabad.

Former SSP Kandhkot-Kashmore Amjad Shaikh and present SSP Ghotki Tunveer Hussain Tunio maintained peace in their jurisdictions and rid the areas of notorious outlaws and dacoits.

It is said that the way the former SSP Kashmore Amjad Hussain Sheikh conducted police operation against criminals and dacoits in the riverine areas of the district, no other police official had ever done it previously.
