Four of a family kill donkey to settle score with its owner.

TOBA TEK SINGH -- The Pirmahal police on Friday registered a case against four members of a family, including two women, for torturing a farmer's donkey to death.

The FIR lodged under section 429 of PPC by Basharat Ali, a resident of Chak 103-GB, Kohal Kalan, said he had a monetary dispute with Shaukat Ali who took away his donkey and tied it outside his house where he, along with his brother, Iqbal, sister Azra Bibi and mother Haleema Bibi tortured it.

They killed the donkey and threw it outside his house, he said. Police said they had arrested Shaukat Ali and were conducting raids to arrest other suspects.

The complainant said the police took Ali into custody but released him after few hours.
