Four MC men suspended for disrespecting body.

KASUR -- The chief executive officer (CEO) of the municipal committee and deputy commissioner on Saturday suspended four officials for allegedly showing disrespect to an unidentified body during burial.

Deputy Commissioner Fiaz Mohal took action after a video went viral on social media on Friday.

Administrator Maham Asif established a body, headed by municipal officer (Finance), to probe the matter and submit a report within a couple of days.

The video clip showed municipal officials bringing a body wrapped in a white cloth to the Khawaja Sahib Graveyard on a tractor-trolley meant for garbage. An official who was standing on the ground dragged the body from the trolley and it fell on the ground.

Later, the official, as seen in the video, dragged the body by the cloth, threw it into a pit and buried it without funeral.
