Four killed in fog-related accidents.

TOBA TEK SINGH/NAROWAL -- Four persons died and 11 others were injured on Friday in three fog-related road accidents in Faisalabad and Sialkot.

In the first incident, a car and a trailer collided on M-4 motorway near Kamalpur interchange at Faisalabad, resulting in death of two persons and serious injuries to six others, who belonged to the same family.

According to Rescue 1122, the car hit the trailer's rear part as its driver failed to see the heavy vehicle going ahead of it due to poor visibility caused by thick fog.

As a result, Shahryar (20) and his cousin Amer Bashir (21) died on the spot while six others in the car, who were seriously injured, shifted to the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.

The injured included deceased Sharyar's sisters -- Anum Perveen (16) and Tehmina (10), deceased Amer Bashir's brother Khuzaima Bashir (19), his sister Arzoo Bashir (18), his grandfather Mehrban (66) and niece Kainat Muzaffar (9).

Meanwhile, in another road accident occurring near Sitara Chemical Factory on Sheikhupura Road, two men identified as Sikandar Imtiaz (29) and Nadeem Akhtar (47) were critically injured when their car collided with road divider.

They were shifted by a Rescue 1122 team to Khurrianwala Rural Health...
