Four held in couple's murder case.

RAWALPINDI -- Police arrested four main suspects in the murder of a newlywed couple in Nasir Colony, Chaklala Scheme III, on March 28.

A police spokesman said three of the arrested suspects were brothers of the bride.

However, their father, who was also allegedly involved in the murder, is yet to be arrested.

Junaid Ahmed, 25, and Sidra Bibi, 18, contracted court marriage on March 25 against the wishes of the bride's family who also lived in the same street.

On March 28, the bride's father and three brothers entered Junaid's house and dragged him and his wife to their house where the couple was tortured and then gunned down.

'First, Junaid Ahmed was gunned down and then his wife was killed,' Sub-Inspector Raja Zahoor, who is leading the investigation, told Dawn.
