Four doctors, including an assistant professor, test positive for Covid-19.

LARKANA -- Four doctors, including an assistant professor of surgery, tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, according to health officials.

The assistant professor at Surgical Unit-II in Chandka Medical College Hospital, a female doctor working at the ENT department and two medical officers posted at Ratodero taluka headquarters hospital were quarantined at home after they tested positive for the virus, said the officials.

The taluka hospital's medical superintendent Dr Tufail Ahmed Selro said that earlier, another medical officer had contracted the virus and later three of his family members were also found to have the contagion.

A team of doctors collected samples of family members of the two doctors of CMCH and sent them to laboratory for analysis and another team took samples of five female medical officers working at Shaikh Zayed Hospital for Women who had reportedly got infected after they operated upon a suspected Covid-19 patient a day before, said sources.

HYDERABAD: A civil judge tested positive for coronavirus here the other day while two of his family members tested negative for the contagion, said sources.

The sources said the judge had himself tested through Kohsar Hospital medical superintendent and his test report came on April 29 which declared him positive for coronavirus but the judge did not believe the report of Diagnostic and Research Laboratory and went for the second test at a private laboratory whose report confirmed on May 2 that he was indeed Covid-19 patient.
