Former Dawn correspondent dies.

ISLAMABAD -- Former Dawn correspondent in Fatehjang, Qazi Safdar Qureshi, died at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Tuesday. He was 80.

Qazi Safdar Qureshi, who had also served as president of Fatehjang Press Club, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

He had remained associated with Dawn for 18 years from 2001 to 2019. He had also served in the Punjab local government department.

He was uncle of Akhtar Qureshi, also associated with Dawn, and father of Engineer Qazi Haroon, Qazi Tahir and Qazi Akhtar. He...
