Forget about mask, just focus on cleanliness to avoid coronavirus.

PESHAWAR -- The coronavirus epidemic is continuing to expand rapidly worldwide, and so far over 90,000 cases have appeared and death toll has crossed 3,000. The epidemic also has its impact on Pakistan where four cases have surfaced so far and many other suspect cases are under scrutiny. This quick spread of the disease has created a panic-like situation and demand for face masks has suddenly increased worldwide, causing its acute shortage. However, health expertssuggest that precautionary measures and cleanliness are more important than just wearing a face mask to avoid the disease. Dr Khalid Khan, Director Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar, said specialist doctor must be consulted immediately after a patient feels symptoms of the disease. He said only the cleanliness and precautionary

measures can block the disease. He said people must properly wash their hands after shaking hands or hugging anyone. Dr Khalid Khan told local paper that a phobia is spreading very quickly among people that they must use face masks to avoid the disease. However, he said this perception is totally misplaced. He said handshakes must be avoided, distance must be kept from infected persons and those having flue must keep their faces covered.
