Five virus deaths in six days.

SHEIKHUPURA -- In the last six days, five people, including three women, have died in the district due to coronavirus related infections.

In Muridke, four people admitted to the THQ hospital five days ago have also been declared coronavirus positive.

BAHAWALPUR: An Islamia Colony lane on Airport Road has been sealed after a coronavirus case was detected there on Wednesday.

According to health department officials, a man, of street No 3, tested positive. His house has been declared quarantine and the street has been sealed by the officials.

Focal persons Dr Zakir told Dawn that the house would be called quarantine for 12 days.

A notice declaring the premises quarantine has been displayed on the entrance gate.

The notice urges the residents to disconnect social contacts with the affected man failing which they could be fined from Rs50,000 to Rs100,000 or imprisonment for two months to six months.

SIALKOT: Another victim of coronavirus was buried in his native graveyard at Mori Gate in Pasrur on Wednesday.

He remained under treatment for a week at Mayo Hospital Lahore, where he breathed his last.
