Five security personnel hurt in suicide attack.

NORTH WAZIRISTAN -- Five security personnel were wounded in a suicide attack in Mirali area of North Waziristan tribal district on Thursday, officials have said.

The attack in Mirali took place when soldiers patrolling the area were targeted by a suicide bomber who rammed his motorcycle into their vehicle near Nowrek village, officials added.

The attack left five soldiers injured who were moved to a hospital in Mirali town. Meanwhile, security forces cordoned off the area and a search operation was in progress.

This was the second attack on the security forces in the area during the past one month. On October 23, a suicide bomber attacked a convoy in Mirali in which 21 soldiers were wounded.
