Five members of banned TTP held with arms.

LAHORE -- The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Saturday to have arrested five suspected terrorists belonging to Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and recovered arms and ammunition during different intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the province.

The Punjab CTD has conducted 21 IBOs in different districts of Punjab to avert any untoward incident. As many as 22 suspects were taken into custody and interrogated.

During these IBOs, five members of proscribed TTP were arrested. The suspects were identified as Inamul Haq, Miskeenullah, Wahid Khan, Sher Naqeeb and Shah Wali.

Accordingly, four cases were registered against the arrested suspects under section 11-9/11-W ATA 1997 CTD Lahore police station, 4/5 ESA 1908 CTD Gujranwala police station, 4/5 ESA 1908, 7-ATA 1997 CTD Sahiwal police station and 11-H, 11-I, 11-J, 11-N, 11-F(2 ) CTD...
