Five human traffickers arrested.

GUJRANWALA -- The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested on Thursday five human traffickers, including a proclaimed offender wanted by the Punjab directorate.

FIA Deputy Director Roy Nasrullah told this correspondent that a team under the supervision of an assistant director arrested proclaimed offender Abdul Haq alias Haqa Butt who was in the list of most wanted human agents. He said Haq received millions of rupees from different people for sending them to Greece, Turkey and Iran. Haq was involved in 14 cases and the FIA Punjab director gave special direction to arrest him.

The FIA teams also arrested human traffickers Shaukat, Jamshed, Rasheed and Khurram from different areas of the region.

SMUGGLED GOODS: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has formed teams to stop the sale of smuggled items in malls, departmental stores and markets.
