First-ever communications center inaugurated for the farmers in Afghanistan.

KABUL -- The first-ever communications center was inaugurated for the farmers in Afghanistan in a bid to pave the way for the establishment of online consultative contacts between the local farmers and agricultural experts in the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of Afghanistan.

Nasir Ahmad Durani, the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of Afghanistan (MAIL) said the farmers from all across the country will be able to establish contacts with the specialists of agriculture sector in the ministry via 150 telephone line.

He said the farmers can establish contacts free of cost and will be able to speak in any language and accent.

Minister Durani emphasized on the need regarding awareness among the farmers and said the online consultative center will play a key role in spreading awareness in remote areas of the country where physical access is challenging.
