First boxing league in March 2020: PBF chief.

LAHORE -- The country's first league for boxers will be held in March next year, Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) president Khalid Mahmood said on Saturday.

Khalid said both professional and amateur contestants would be eligible to participate in the league, whose main purpose he said 'is to raise funds to make arrangements for improved training of our boxers'.

According to Khalid, a good number of boxers at the national level were participating in competitions who needed a good number of activities, adding the said league would be one of those opportunities.

Khalid said the league was being held to promote amateur boxing through in a professional manner.
