FIR registered against man who threatened KE employees in viral video.

KARACHI -- Police registered a case on Monday against a man whose video went viral a few days ago, in which he can be seen threatening K-Electric employees.

Police registered the FIR on a KE employee's complaint, within the jurisdiction of Gulistan-e-Johar police station against the man, identified as Ashraf, who threatened the employees while they carrying out their duties.

Hayat said that the employees were removing illegal connections in Gulistan-e-Johar Block 1 on June 29, when Ashraf interfered in their duties and started abusing them.

The petition also included provisions related to disrupting government's work and issuing threats.

The FIR nominated five people along with the main suspect. Police carried out raids to arrest Ashraf, who can be easily identified after a video was shot by a KE officer while he was making the threats.

The video went viral after it made its way to social media. Police said that the suspects will be arrested and brought to book soon.
