Fines imposed on 28 shopkeepers for hoarding, overcharging.

RAWALPINDI -- Five joint teams of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) and the district administration on Wednesday imposed fines Rs195,000 on 28 shopkeepers for overcharging and hoarding.

The teams had been established in areas located in the jurisdictions of five police stations, including Race Course, Naseerabad, Westridge, Cantonment and Royal Artillery Bazaar. RCB Additional Cantonment Executive Officer Faisal Munir Wattoo and Assistant Commissioner (cantonment) Rimsha Javed will be heading the joint teams along with monitoring their work on a daily basis.

Talking to Dawn, Mr Wattoo said: 'The aim of the joint teams, is to implement the price list of district administration in cantonment areas and in this regard, both civic bodies will work together.'
