RAWALPINDI -- The district administration on Tuesday launched a drive and imposed fine Rs450,000 on 251 shopkeepers in the district.

Deputy Commissioner retired Capt Anwarul Haq said that the district price magistrates conducted 1,620 raids in different areas to check prices of edibles and implementation of price list,given by by the administration.

'The government gave directions to not allow profiteering and hoarding in bazaars, so that people struck by the pandemic couldget daily use items without any hurdle,' he said.
