Films from 15 countries showcased at festival.

ISLAMABAD -- The annual International Mountain Film Festival, in which 22 short and feature length documentary films of the year from 15 countries were showcased, concluded on Tuesday.

The event happens in December every year since 2015 and is the only mountain film festival in Pakistan and one of three in Asia.

The theme for this year's event was 'Responsible Tourism'. The award ceremony was held following the screening of French feature documentary Blutch. The award for Best Picture was won by The Last Mountain (2019) from Poland, directed by Dariusz Zaluski.

The Audience Award was given to Hillary: Ocean to Sky (2019) from New Zealand, directed by Michael Dillon, and the was given to The Distant Islands (2019) from Switzerland, directed by Alberto Meroni.
