Federal capital emerged as one of hotspots of coronavirus.

Islamabad -- The country federal capital has emerged as one of the hotspots of coronavirus with number of new cases of COVID-19 reported, with the tally likely to cross 7000.

The inner sources have revealed that the areas where number of new cases reported included sector G-9, G-7, 1-8, 1-10, Khana Bridge, Ghauri Town, Lohi Bahar, Tarnol and other areas.

The administration had earlier sealed I-10 sector in the capital after number coronavirus cases were reported in the locality.

The Pakistani army had earlier helped the administration cordon off some other localities, including Bara Kahu and Shahzad Town, to prevent the spread of the virus. Currently Capital sector G-9 was sealed.

The number of cases were increasing rapidly in Islamabad due to the ease in lockdown restrictions during Eid days.

Restrictions were relaxed in the city after April 15, following a government decision to allow businesses and factories to resume their operations during specific hours. Sources stated that currently Capital Sector 1-8 has 367, 377 in sector I-10, 292 in Sector G-6 and 312 in G-7. 154 cases reported in Capital sector Ghauri Town.

On the basis of available data, we can safely predict that the number of COVID-19 cases would jump over 10000 in the upcoming months.
