FDE asked to come up with proper wedlock policy.

ISLAMABAD -- A subcommittee of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Federal Education on Tuesday directed the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) to come up with a proper wedlock policy for teachers working in schools and colleges.

The committee, which met at the education ministry's building with MNA Ali Nawaz Awan in the chair, directed the officials of the Ministry of Federal Education and FDE to place the wedlock policy before the committee at its next meeting.

The convener of the committee said because of a vague wedlock policy, teachers working in the capital for years were facing issues.

The committee also discussed the issue of private schools operating in residential areas.

The convener said all housing schemes were bound to earmark plots for schools which should be disposed of by the education ministry through a policy.
