Faisalabad receives 82.20 mm rain.

FAISALABAD -- Faisalabad received an average 82.20 millimeters (mm) rain in its various parts on Tuesday which turned the hot weather into pleasant besides inundating the low-lying areas.

According to a report issued by Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Madina Town and its peripheral localities received 88 mm rain while 87 mm rain was recorded in Dogar Basti OHR, 86 mm in Gulistan Colony, 81 mm in Ghulam Muhammad Abad and 72 mm rain in Allama Iqbal Colony and its nearby localities.

The heavy downpour damaged one-side wall of Satiana Road Channel-IV and the rainwater accumulated on the road in addition to causing suspension of disposal stations 31 and 32.

Receiving information, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lt. (retired) Sohail Ashraf and Managing Director WASA Abu Bakar Imran visited the site and directed the WASA staff to repair the damaged wall on war-footing.
