Factory sealed for causing pollution.

GUJRAT -- The assistant commissioner on Thursday sealed a factory for causing pollution by burning substandard material as fuel.

AC Salman Zafar along with the officials of the Environment Protection Department inspected Alfajr Plastic Industry near Shahdaula Town locality in the city suburbs after some locals complained of pollution being caused by the factory. He sealed the factory, and police have started investigation into the matter.

A case has also been registered against the factory owner on the report of an official of the department.

ARRESTED: Police claim to have arrested a gang of robbers involved in the robbery at the house of an industrialist in Shadman Colony in the precincts of Civil Lines police.

A sum of Rs2 million of the looted amount has also been recovered from the gang.
