Faces of Mongolian Communities Unveiled At 'new Artwork-people 4'

Batzorig Foundation of Documentary Photography in Mongolia launched its fourth edition of "New Artwork-People" exhibition on Monday at Red Ger Gallery.

At first glance, the photos at the exhibition seem neither vibrant nor colorful, but each scene tells a story of people from different backgrounds. The photos captured various scenes, from day-to-day moments that seem ordinary to a major event where thousands gather.

The photos all focus on people, but unlike other exhibitions with a single theme of, for instance, beauty, "New Artwork-People 4" made me feel like I entered other people's lives.

The photos don't show luxury, poverty, mountains covered by flowers or a valley sagging with disposed trash. They show moments of living people in the real world.

Many faces of many different communities in Mongolia can be seen at the exhibition, together with the explanations of the photos and why they were selected.

The exhibition will be open until after May 23.
