Expat killed over land dispute.

GUJRAT -- A British-Pakistani was gunned down by three suspects allegedly over a land dispute in Jand village of Kharian on Monday.

Chaudhry Khushnood Akhtar, also a lumberdar of Jand village, had returned from the UK a couple of months ago.

Suspect Qamar Abbas along with two unidentified accomplices allegedly chased Akhtar's car near the village on Monday and shot him dead on the spot. Police claimed that initial investigation revealed the expatriate had been killed over a land dispute.

The deceased was a brother-in-law of former PML-Q MPA Khalid Asghar Ghural.
